CONTAGION: How to Become a Contagious Christion
One of the MANY things I'm pumped out of my mind about right now is our current class for Jr High and Sr High. We're calling it "CONTAGION: How to Become a Contagious Christian". It's a 7-8 week study on practical ways to share our faith, different evangelism styles, what our jobs are and are not, etc..
I would like to start a new ongoing conversation with you as parents to reinforce what we're teaching, and to keep you engaged and in-the-loop on what's being taught to your teens.
Here's what we'll do. It's pretty simple..
WHAT I'M GOING TO DO:
As things are being taught in the youth room, you'll receive emails about key points and easy conversation starters.
WHAT YOU CAN DO:
All you have to do is check these emails, with CONVERSATION STARTERS in the subject line, read through them, and bring up some of the easy conversation topics I'll provide. Dinner time, drive time, bedtime, family time, any time. The key to get the conversations started between you and your teens.
You'll be seeing more of this type of thing over the coming months. Our aim to provide you with as many opportunities as we can to keep you and your teens connected and engaged on a spiritual level! Thank you, in advance, for partnering with RAVE to keep the fire burning!

P1438: Starting the day off right!
"Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul."
Psalm 143:8
Once a week, students from each high school are going to have a chance to come together for breakfast and be challenged by each other from the bible and mainly to pray for each other as we go into the day and week. What better way to get the day started than with fellow RAVErs, sharing God's word and coming together in prayer?
I'm working on Rogers and Fayetteville, but here's what I've got so far, so people can go ahead and start coming!
SPRINGDALE: Olde Tyme Donuts, Tuesdays, 8:10 AM
HAR BER: Arsaga's, Mondays, 8:00 AM
SILOAM: Wednesdays at lunch (I know it's not breakfast, but we'll take it!)
PS: THIS IS A PERFECT THING TO INVITE FRIENDS TO!!!

FALL RETREAT 2012 (for ALL ages!)
Hallelujah, FALL IS HERE! Retreats are what we do best, and it's time for our Fall Retreat! This is one is for all ages, and there are some extra special things going on at this one, so YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS IT!! Our theme is "WANTED" and it's gonna be great for everybody! THERE IS A SIGN-UP SHEET on the board by my office, OR you can email me and give me the name, grade, and shirt size of those coming!
TWO SPECIAL THINGS TO REMEMBER: We would LOVE to see as many parents as we can come on this trip. You'll be hearing more about this soon, but one goal of this school year is to start surrounding our teens with more trusted adult mentors. That's where you come in!
ALSO, the content of this retreat is going to be PERFECT for our teens to bring friends too. It's going to be all about how we are wanted by God and his people. PLEASE, help me encourage our teens to bring their friends to this one!
