OWLS Banquet Dinner

Welcome back to normal weather everybody!  I assure you I did not bring this snow with me when I came...I blame the Kilmers.

Anyway, I just wanted to remind everyone of the OWLS' Banquet Wednesday night.  It is our PRIVILEGE to dress up and serve the dinner that night.  A few things to remember:
Dinner officially begins at 5:30, so WE NEED TO BE THERE AT 5:15 at the latest.
Teens need to DRESS UP.  Let's show a lot of respect in how we present ourselves.
We will have RAVE Youth Worship immediately after this at our regular time of 6:30.

***ALSO, we have traditionally set up and decorated for this in lieu of TNBS.  This time, we'll do both.  On Tuesday night, we'll meet at church at 6:00 to decorate, and then have bible study after that.***

This is a GREAT way to bridge the typical generation gap, and connect with a beautiful, wise group of wonderful people!  Please encourage your teens to come to this, whether they usually come to TNBS or not.  We need all hands on deck!

January is almost gone and February is coming up strong!  Here are a few upcoming things.  You'll receive more details on these as their dates approach, but here's your February Rundown!

SOUPERBOWL PARTY:
Superbowl Sunday, Feb 6.  After evening services, we'll go over to the Plesses' for the Superbowl.
The SOUP part comes in with EVERYBODY BRINGING CANS of soup or any other canned food.  We will have a BOYS vs. GIRLS competition to see who brings the most cans, and the winning team gets to give the losing team a makeover right there on the spot.  Should be interesting either way..

OWLS' BANQUET:

CHRISTEENS:
Our annual trip to the Christeens Youth Rally in Russellville, AR will be Feb 26-28.  The cost for this trip is $35 which includes lodging and a T-shirt.  We have to register no later than Feb 9, so please sign up on the list on my office door.

***ASK YOUR KIDS WHAT E429 MEANS!!  Have some conversations about it at home!***

GREAT CRAVE!!

What an AMAZING night of CRAVE last night!  For those that weren't there, here are a couple pictures of what we ended the night with.

We had eaten our nachos; we had played our games.  While we were worshiping in the Youth Room, I felt a tap on my shoulder.  I turned to see who it was, and even though the lights were out, I could immediately tell it was Stephen Holroyd.  I asked him what was going on, and after a short pause to collect himself, through the tears, we simply said, "I wanna get baptized."  So we migrated to the auditorium and welcomed a new brother into the family of God.

FOOD n' FRIENDS this SUNDAY!

Happy Friday Everybody!

Just a little update on Sunday:  As you've hopefully heard by now, the CRAVE we had planned to have this Sunday is going to be on January 23.  More details on that very soon, but  this Sunday night we're going to have a Food n' Friends, so keep the friends coming!  We're going to eat in the gym after church, and then load up on the bus and go BOWLING.  I would recommend bringing about $10 for shoes and 2 games.  It's gonna be a blast!

CHECK BACK HERE THE NEXT DAY FOR PICTURES!
